Advanced Wet Rooms offer a site survey with our installation service. A member of our wet rooms UK and Ireland team will advise you on all aspects of your wet room foundations, including how to install your wet room drain, how to prepare the wet room flooring for our installation and different design options. We also offer advice on tiling and sanitary ware as requested.
Installing yourself? Feel free to call a member of our customer service team for advice on the system.
A Typical Site Survey will include:-
- Establish the client’s requirements from their wet room
Every one has a different requirement from their new wet room.
Whether its how to utilise a small space or awkward space, easy access for reduced mobility or creating a sense of luxury, our trained team will talk you through the best options.
- Discuss suitable drainage for your plumber to fit
There are two types of drains we believe to be the best and most secure drains. Unidrain is a wall mounted linear drain that sits against the wall and the Serres drain which is more traditional and is placed in the middle of your shower area. We will advise you on the most suitable drain and location depending on your floor profile.
- Advise on the best position for your shower area
Within a wet room it is possible to have the shower in most areas of the room, but every room is different and many have obstacles to over come.
- Advise on which areas should be tanked
You maybe looking for just a wet area or for the full bathroom to be tanked. There maybe low sloping ceilings in your shower area? We will discuss and suggest the best solution for your wet room.
- Give guidance on how to prepare your floor for our installation team
A step by step guide with the appropriate leaflets will be provide and discussed to ensure the floor is prepared correctly and your installation will be secure.
Tips for your tiler or bathroom company once the foundations are complete.
To tank (waterproof) a wet room, you will have a latex membrane applied to all relevant areas. It is important to take good care of this membrane prior to tiling. Information sheets will be provided to ensure that any tradesmen working in your bathroom understand the best way to prevent the membrane from tearing.
We welcome the opportunity to meet your builder / plumber or bathroom installer at time of the site survey.
